This does sound similar to the vblank sync bug, but the symptoms differ, and we have already pulled in the patch for the vblank sync bug: 120_fix_dri2_vblank_syncing_segfault.patch (commit b8e360bf2b77d28559d15a7c0f9c766848eb6ced)
