Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I'm using Jaunty and a few days ago I had an upgrade for xserver-xorg- video-ati and xserver-xorg-video-radeon. This upgrade installed version 1:6.12.2-2ubuntu1 for both packages. On next reboot X wouldn't start, after xfix I had low resolution and 150 fps in glxgears instead of 2500. I checked the packages site for Ubuntu and I noticed that version 1:6.12.2-2 is for Karmic. Version 1:6.12.1-0ubuntu2 is for Jaunty. I downgraded both packages to Jaunty version and now graphics are fine. When I try to update my system it wants to install the Karmic drivers again. I tried both the local repository (Hungarian) and the main one. http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=default§ion=all&arch=any&searchon=names&keywords=xserver-xorg-video-ati ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- karmic ati driver installed for jaunty and it's broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/389547 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
