Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Screen corruption on xrandr --output VGA --mode 1280x1024. This happens on i855GM in Jaunty. The highest resolution on the laptop monitor is 1024x768. The external monitor is detected and I can choose 1280x1024, but when I do, the display output gets corrupted. This seems to be very similar to bug #325781 [lspci] 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller (rev 02) 00:00.1 System peripheral: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller (rev 02) 00:00.3 System peripheral: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller (rev 02) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02) ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [i855] screen corruption when switching resolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391084 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
