Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
With an ATI dual display configuration (default jaunty drivers), the
mouse point shows rendering artifacts.
I tried it on two different systems, and the bug exists in both:
Linux desktop 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:57:59 UTC 2009
i686 GNU/Linux
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RS690 [Radeon X1200
Series]
Linux laptop 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:57:59 UTC 2009 i686
GNU/Linux
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M64-S [Mobility Radeon
X2300]
The problem seems to be solved in the Alpha 2 of Karmic Koala with this
configuration:
Linux ubuntu 2.6.30-8-generic #9-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jun 3 15:23:55 UTC 2009 i686
GNU/Linux
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M64-S [Mobility Radeon
X2300]
