Many thanks. I tried the ....amd64.deb, setting the driver in xorg.conf to 'openchrome' and there is an improvement. I can now get 1600x1200 resolution, which is better than the maximum I could get for the last two months of 1280x768 with the 'vesa'.
However, the Xserver says it could not apply/support stored settings of 1920x1080, which gives my Acer X243HQ Monitor the correct aspect ratio. I used to get it under Ubuntu 10.04. Is there some fix for getting around that? -- [P4M800Pro] Xorg freeze on ubuntu 10.10 64bit https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/660240 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-openchrome in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
