Your monitor is bad. It does not provide EDID information to the driver. EDID tells what resolutions are possible. Without the EDID information the driver cannot automatically figure out a resolution for you.
Either use a better monitor that does provide EDID, or you will have to manually create an xorg.conf configured for your monitor. Look on google for directions, or ask for help at http://askubuntu.com. ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/729812 Title: Resolution Nvidia GT218 [GeForce 210] [10de:0a65], natty Alpha 2 _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
