The yellow screen was a cable issue, I was just the first to experience
it.

The screen switching issue appears to be a Unity/Compiz usability bug.
My netbook can only hardware-accelerate its native screen, when I attach
another monitor hardware acceleration, compiz, and unity fail.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Install Natty on a computer that can only accelerate one screen
2. Boot into "Ubuntu" (with the new Unity interface)
3. Attach a second monitor - at this point the UI crashes

Workaround
When you need to attach another monitor, boot into "Ubuntu Classic (no effects)"
