David, Oh yes, now I know what's going on. This was a bug reported upstream that we've been discussing a fix for. The issue is the mixing of coordinate transformation and the new masked valuators. A simple patch should fix things up.
Can you file a new bug for this and assign it to me? This is really a separate issue from the original bug report. I will make a test package and attach it to the new bug.
