First of all, Thank you. But i have some questions

1. What do you mean unofficial? I downloaded it from the vendor's site.

2. And how can this be if the previous update were always working fine?
3. What is that module and how can it be built? Should i reinstall the driver?
force an nvidia update?

Subject: [Bug 829334] Re: Xorg doesn't start after the update

You've got an unofficial nvidia installation, so you need to build the
kernel module for the updated kernel by hand..

** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu)

Title:
Xorg doesn't start after the update

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Well, not sure if Xorg or not, but after i did an update (using security
updates and recommended ones) the system would not boot into using the
2.6.38-11-generic linux kernel. I did a disk check and all was fine (from the
recovery tool in grub). After the disk check finished it went to a "booting
terminal" that stopped at "checking battery state". And that was that.
  2.6.38-10 works fine. I'm on a pc. I don't have a battery.
