Public bug reported:
On oneiric, with kde 4.7.2 and intel mobile 4 card.
Trying to enable kwin effects from system settings -> OK, works
Using effects -> OK, works
KDE logout + login -> xorg crashes, kdm restarts it, kde starts without effects
Conversely if kdm is configured to terminate the server at logout all is
fine.
