Hi again, I tried the 9.10 Live-CD but didn't install. Resolution is OK and System>Preferences>Display shows everything as normal: monitor is Laptop at 1024x768 (4:3) 60hz.
It should perhaps be mentioned that I did fresh install last with Hoary and online Distribution Upgrade from Hoary>Intrepid and again Intrepid>Jaunty. Resolution was OK up to Intrepid but broke in Jaunty. Would you still like me to fire 'apport-collect'?
