Thank you Steve for the suggestion. Now I've tried (and also removed cloud-init) and I found no problem, except for a service that I've written myself. When running a konsole in X and then giving the command "sudo bum" and starting the service, I see some messages from bum but also this
^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B^[[B That doesn't seem right to me. (What can cause this?) With limited testing it seems that this is the problem. The service I start is a very basic bashscript that starts php programs. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere to find why those scripts are behaving this way since it's not really an ubuntu specific issue. I can add though that the scripts did not cause any problems in 11.04. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/887445 Title: I can not login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/887445/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
