Hi Tim,
Could you please file separate bug reports for each of the issues you've
encountered? For issues that seem to clearly be the configuration tool,
file them using the command
ubuntu-bug gnome-desktop
For everything else (or if you're uncertain), use the command:
ubuntu-bug xorg
I'll close this bug report out at this time.
