Try the presentation that I have just attached. First, ensure that AA is switched on in Tools->Options->OpenOffice.org->View, then load this presentation and try moving some of the slide items around. Also, try picking up a slide in the left slides pane and move your mouse until you see the outline, now waggle the mouse around a little and place the slide in a new location - this should really slow OpenOffice.org to a grind and hammer the CPU.
