I've attached the requested dmesg output. This is a fresh install and I cannot remember whether I ever closed the laptop lid while it was hooked up to an external display.
The key issue here is that when I close the lid, the display turns off, but it is not removed from X causing applications to be started over on that display. ** Attachment added: "Requested dmesg output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/921313/+attachment/2727027/+files/dmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/921313 Title: closing laptop lid while connected to an external display does not disable the laptop screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/921313/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
