I also have the same issue with a Targus mouse on 11.10. Switching to a different mouse seems to solve the issue. Again I have not had hassles with the mouse on other systems. Maybe bounce / accidental click control type behaviour would help. Another annoy behaviour is the inability to select text. Click Hold, select text, release, texts is immediately unselected, possibly because a second click is registered after the release.
