Public bug reported:
Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release: 12.04
Since about 6 weeks I run Kubuntu 12.04 on this Tecra-S5 laptop and I
experience significant instability of the system with the combination of Quadro
NVS 130M video card and NVIDIA driver version 290.20.
Especially starting a second (external) monitor is difficult and will after
some hours lock the system.
But even on the default screen starting up Firefox or Konsole will hang the
system for several seconds or even lock it up hard.
In those cases only the Magic Keys will allow a shut down.
Since a few days this same driver is available in Kubuntu 11.10 and
causing the same issues, reverting to driver 280.13 solves the problem
but this driver is not available for Kubuntu 12.04.
