You have been subscribed to a public bug: Sometimes when I log out these days, the screen goes blank, then a big NVIDIA logo comes up on the screen, and the system freezes. I can't Ctrl+Alt+F1 into a terminal, and no other input seems to do anything. I have to hard-reboot the computer at this point to get back to the desktop.
Using Oneiric 32-bit with the NVIDIA 280.13-0ubuntu6 driver. I'm really not confident that I'm filing this against the correct package. --- ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101007) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: gnome-session 3.2.1-0ubuntu1.1 PackageArchitecture: all ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-16.29-generic-pae 3.0.20 Tags: oneiric running-unity Uname: Linux 3.0.0-16-generic-pae i686 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-10-13 (166 days ago) UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout dip fax floppy fuse lpadmin plugdev sambashare tape video ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-collected oneiric running-unity -- Freeze on logout with NVIDIA logo displayed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/966698 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
