Description of problem: 
Latest fglrx driver does not install on Acer Aspire One 722 under Ubuntu 12.04

The chip is a Radeon 6290.

Steps to reproduce:
1. aptitude install fglrx
2. reboot
3. attempt startx

Actual result:

Install shows some errors (see below)
startx fails
