Public bug reported:
Doing nothing special. Happens quite randomly but doesn't seem to kill
the system or cause anything that appears to be a problem (except the
alert itself). Sees to be triggered when I access the Internet using
Firefox but not always.
This bug seems to have started after the latest update to linux 3.5.0-27
and/or Firefox 20.
Beyond that I can't say much about this bug.
After looking at other similar reports on "false GPU lockup" reports,
they all seem to be related to some crash of some program. Also, related
to Ubuntu 13.04. But I'm still using 12.10 and, as I said earlier,
nothing seems to crash or hang. All seems normal.
Just now Ubuntu did hang a bit when I scrolled this page just now and
the alert box finally poped up for this very problem. The contents of
the dialog box was distorted with missing text but it was the same alert
dialog I have gotten.
Like I said: random.
