bug #1262752 should be fixed in the nvidia-304 in precise-proposed. As for nvidia-prime, that change makes sense in 14.04, where nvidia- prime is recommended by nvidia-$flavour. The same doesn't apply to 12.04 though, where only Jockey installs nvidia-prime on systems with 2 GPUs.
