Tested again with Trusty daily-live/current CD image booted from USB stick.
Perceived perfomance is a little better but moving windows is still jerky. glxgears performance improved compared to my last test. ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ glxgears Running synchronized to the vertical refresh.
