Public bug reported:

We have a number of different USB headsets in our call center and none of the
buttons work on them. They have Mute, vol up, and vol down. On two different
models the mute button will left click the mouse and I had to add them to the
xorg.conf to ignore their HID input but the rest of the buttons do nothing.
When we use a Windows XP PC those buttons will mute the microphone, turn up the
volume slider, and turn down the volume slider using the built in driver.
I am using xUbuntu 13.10 64bit as an LTSP client.
