Thanks for giving that a try Vincent. I believe that the intel driver
needs to be reinstalled for this to work.

Regarding the source code:
Please not that if you uncomment the following line in your 
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/dgadomski-linux-mst-trusty.list file
# deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/dgadomski/linux-mst/ubuntu trusty main

it should allow you to get the kernel source with:
sudo apt-get update
apt-get source linux-image-3.16.0-19-generic
