Backup and then remove 50-synap* and 51-syn* files from 
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d
Create a file called 50-mtrack.conf containing the following

Section "InputClass"
        MatchIsTouchpad "true"
        Identifier "Multitouch Touchpad"
        Driver "mtrack"
        Option "Sensitivity" "1.4"
        Option "IgnoreThumb" "true"
        #Option "ButtonMoveEmulate" "false"
        Option "ClickFinger1" "1"
        Option "ClickFinger2" "3"
        #Option "ClickFinger3" "3"
        Option "TapButton1" "0"
        Option "TapButton2" "0"
        Option "TapButton3" "0"
        Option "TapButton4" "0"
        Option "ScrollDistance" "75"
        Option "BottomEdge" "30"
        
EndSection


Then run 
sudo restart lightdm 

Touchpad works great apart from when two finger scrolling it doesn't you
can't flick
