My main concern now having heard your side of things from a Windows point of view is that this is hardware. I am starting to suspect it might be a power thing... the XPC PSU isn't the highest rated so am starting to think that might be something... hardware outside of the normal XPC items is:
* x2 WD Red drives * x4 8GB memory sticks (Patriot in my case) * x1 DVD-RW * Bluetooth USB adaptor * MS Wireless keyboard and mouse (not bluetooth) It could be that adding a video card compound the problem further by adding additional power consumption. All in all not a massive amount, but I am going to work out the total power requirements and research the PSU quality. Would be a shame if that is the cause. Another thing is memory compatibility, maybe the chipset doesn't like the sticks we have, what have you got? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1367825 Title: Intel i915 video driver causing random crashes on i7 Z77 system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1367825/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
