I don't think so. * My system doesn't have a SSD * X was not strace-able, when I tried, the system froze. * The system has an Intel graphics adapter as well, but it is not used. * It happens, when using latest fglrx. As soon as I realized that, I switched to (non 3D-accelerated :( ) radeon driver, which seems to "fix" the issue.
