Given all the crashes that have populated in your /var/crash (some not reported yet), it would be most helpful to report those. However, given that the nvidia drivers would be responsible for the desired functionality, it would be best to re-test to this in Xenial via http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ to get ahead of new functionality landing there. If reproducible in it, please file a new report scoped to precisely that by ensuring you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information running the following from a terminal: ubuntu-bug xorg Also, please feel free to subscribe me to it.
