My specific hardware is an Acer Aspire One 751. On Jaunty it is fixed by these two packages xserver-xorg-video-psb psb-kernel-source from http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mobile/ppa/ubuntu. As a consequence of this fix on Jaunty I have to block kernel updates.
