apt-get update apt-get install --install-recommends linux-generic-hwe-16.04 Then: sudo vi /etc/default/grub GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i915.alpha_support=1" sudo update-grub reboot sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade -- This will re-install the entire world.
