Hi everyone, I encountered the same problem after updating from kubuntu 17.10 to kubuntu 18.04 (no virtual box). Infact after the update, checking the xorg virtual size memory with 'ps aux', i can see that it keeps growing. Even using the 'free' command the buff/cache field continues to grow. Even when booting directly from a USB stick (before installation) with kubuntu18.04 the problem persists.
