I have sorted this out by using the following from another post: sudo service sddm stop sudo apt remove libqt5quick5-gles sudo apt install libqt5quick5 sudo service sddm start
For me, when removing libqt5quick5-gles, libqt5quick5 was automatically install, so line 3 wasn't needed.
