kringalf, thank you for comment #3. I'm sorry that it took nearly six
years long for anyone to see that you had resolved the issue. I'm
closing this as "Invalid" as Ubuntu 16.04 is no longer being maintained
and the issue wasn't resolved by an Ubuntu update.
