Hi Jean-Marie,
"enter" is used in some comments and means either that you have to
switch your current folder/directory when you are in terminal. So
commands should be executed in the right folder, otherwise you might do
something else or maybe nothing.
So "enter kernel" means to to cd to the decompressed folder of the
kernel source files.
Quinten's description worked for me and it is not that difficult to
follow.
