wery sorry my english! I use Ubuntu 9.10, Not Alpha! I have a same problem. 9.04 detect my monitor fine (Benq E2200HD max resolution 1920*1080) but 9.10 detected as "Unknown" and I resolution 1024*768! My video card Ati radeon 9600xt (Ubuntu was install save graphical mode, because i normal can't. sart install and will black sreen)
