ok, maybe i am not understanding it allright, but it tried disabling powerplay in amdcccle, and didn't see any change in memory use.
I was expecting to see a drop in memory use after disabling powerplay, like the one observed when opening and closing paraview. maybe it wasn't this you were refering to?
