@Geir Ove Myhr Ahh, I was thinking I had to download stuff from git and compile it!! A ppa sounds much easier for me to handle.
So, if I understand correctly, I need to install the .deb from the ppa, create an xorg.conf file with: Section "Device" Identifier "my-old-i8xx" Driver "intel" Option "DebugFlushCaches" "1" EndSection recreate the freeze, and post a batchbuffer archive plus the xorg.0.log as a separate text file.
