Hi unimatrix, I have installed catalyst 9.11 and it works with the no-backfill xserver. I have not fully tested it with the normal xserver core even though I tried.
I installed the new Catalyst and afterwards thought I would try it with the ubuntu repos xserver. However, when I changed from the no-backfill to the normal version I could not even start X. I had to boot from a live disk and change my x-org.conf to use the radeon driver, change the xserver back to the no-backfill version.
