I have the same problem with Lenovo X60. Changing monitor configuration when desktop effects are enables causes the display to freeze. I only get a black screen with a cursor that does not move. The only way to get out from this lock is to reboot the computer.
I can SSH to the machine, so other than the frozen display, things seem to be OK. I will add some logs. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/36929626/dmesg.txt -- [Karmic] Sony Vaio VGN-C260E laptop freezes when external monitor is plugged in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/462393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
