instalation with two vga cards 1. One Hundred Paper Cuts 2. Questions 3. Question #94639 Hi, I'm new in this (100 Paper Cuts, not Ubuntu), my problem is this: When I try to install Ubuntu (Kubuntu too) if I not disable the PCI-E video card, the installation stops. I have two video cards, one is integrated with the motherboard (Intel 945GNTLR), and the other is an ATI x550xt PCI-E. It seems like the Operative System was a conflict detecting the two cards, and is not be able to handling successfully that conflict to continue with the installation. The problem solves (before the installation with the integrated card, disabling the PCI-E) adding in the directory "/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf", the following line: blacklist intel_agp blacklist agpgart and then, in a terminal: sudo update-initramfs -u, reboot the system and everything runs correctly, using the PCI-E card. When I discover the page 100 Paper Cuts, first in my memory came this problem, so, I post it. Many times I have to unplug and plug VGA cards for the installation of Ubuntu/Kubuntu, and many many people have to deal with this problem.
