I can confirm this issue. After installation of proprietary drivers, nvidia-settings icon is rightly listed under System -> Administration menu. But after first restart (in order to activate drivers), and on every subsequent boot, the icon is missing.
I think it's not related to bug #522943, neither to the nvidia startup entry under System -> Preferences -> Startup Applications. Probably a sort of regression from bug #522969 ? ** Also affects: gnome-menus Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-menus Assignee: (unassigned) => Martin Pitt (pitti) ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Alberto Milone (albertomilone) ** Changed in: gnome-menus Status: New => Confirmed -- [Lucid Video]Nvidia-current hardware drivers do not install Nvidia GUI config tool in menus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/531054 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
