I installed Ubuntu 8.10 on a Sony VAIO PCG-F409. Refresh rate was 60Hz
and in the "Screen Resolution" utility, I only had this option in the
drop-down menu. Further research proved xorg.conf didn't have the proper
information. I added the following:
HorizSync: 31.5 - 82.0
VertRefresh 40 - 150
Depth: 16 bits
Using proper X.org synthax and it solved my problem. I can use 75Hz as before.
Thanks in advance for fixing it.
