Hi, something more about the tag "black-screen" after the login-screen:
the upper things are regarding a completely new installed xubuntu 9.10. Just for testing something different, I have made a second installation with xubuntu 8.04, and upgraded over all version to the current 9.10. With this installation, no black screen apears after the login-screen on my pc - WITH xorg.cfg (since the upper bug report I am booting my system WITHOUT any xorg.cfg to avoid any black screen after login). Therefore I am now adding the two files you asked for, when we were examine the screensaver problem - but this time I am adding the fileversions of a working installation after my upgrade-sessions.
