Please ignore the what I said in comment #96 about the login screen, and all of #98 - those comments apply to Karmic on the same computer.
Also, I was miscalculating in #97 regarding the 800x600 screen. The full screen is 246 mm wide, and the x-origin is shifted over to 226 mm.
