Hi Michael, wow that must have been a painful amount of troubleshooting, but I'm glad to hear you found a suitable version to revert to. However, I'm unfamiliar with version '2.8.0-27', that suggest a Debian version which afaik does not exist. Could you post your Xorg.0.log from the working configuration, and confirm the version number you're using?
