Still using the following hardware configuration: "2.8 G/2G RAM/ATI HD2600,512VRAM/SIS AC97 OB Audio"
Tested this morning with current Karmic and Lucid releases, at 32, 64, 256 & 512 Aperture settings as well as current "Live CD" of Lucid and had no problem booting, getting into the "X" GUI, or opening Firefox and displaying a WWW page. Am "invalidating" this as I presume that either the newer Kernels, or newer "X" and/or ATI drivers have corrected this problem. Thanks!
