Hi everyone. As far as the memory footprint comparison between 9.10 and 10.04, Lucid is more bloated. I noticed it before, when without dri some desktop stuff is slower. By looking at my old screenshots I can see that the memory gnome-monitor applet is more filled now than it used to be before with some pdf files with graphics and more tabs opened on firefox. Unfortuanately, I do not keep top screenshots. So far Xorg figure seems reasonable so far. I also use amarok with a huge music collection. Amarok is known to be particularly memory hungry, however, it has not been a problem before. I will try figure out the culprit by killing one program after another.
