After installing Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on my Thinkpad G41 I get a black
screen after the bootup logo, instead of GDM. In addition, pressing
ctrl + alt + F<number> to bring up a console doesn't work, so
installing Lucid actually borks my system. This also happens when merely
upgrading from 9.04. Please fix this!
