I get the same behavior trying to boot to Lucid 64-bit live CD on my HP EliteBook 8440p with nvidia NVS 3100M graphics. I was able to use the "nomodeset" to install and on first boot until I installed the proprietary nvidia drivers. The other problems I run into are:
-I cannot adjust the brightness - it is all or nothing. (Bug #562005) -Whenever I close my screen without suspending (just turns the screen off), I have to switch to a VT and back to turn my screen back on. (probably related to the previous problem) I suspect my remaining problems can be attributed to problems with the proprietary drivers. -- luicid RC1 live cd boots to blank screen on Dell latitude E6410 with Nvidia Nvs 3100M https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
