I have same Problem on Netbook BGH, N270 With Intel I945. With kernel 2.6.32-16 Work fine, but with 2.6.32-22 is with same problems.
I reinstall xserver-xorg-video-intel and now Still on GDM Screen but I donńt see anything, only a black screen. Regards.
